Alt Valley Community Trust

Alt Valley Community Trust is a community-based charity in North East Liverpool that delivers a broad range of education and training opportunities for adults and young people. Through its Education & Training offer, the organisation provides a catalogue of adult training courses, apprenticeships and full-time curriculum pathways that learners can enrol on via an online application process. Adult provision includes short courses and accredited programmes, with options ranging from wellbeing and employability-focused learning to vocational areas such as hairdressing, childcare, dog grooming and beauty therapy. Education is described as a cornerstone of the Trust, and they state they have been delivering qualitative education and training programmes for over 30 years. Their approach to lifelong learning is built on the belief that education is a powerful vehicle to develop potential and improve life opportunities. Alongside formal courses, Alt Valley Community Trust also supports access to employment, community engagement and sport-based provision, and operates community libraries, sports and wellbeing facilities, and community hubs across Croxteth, Dovecot and surrounding areas, providing multiple local access points for training and support.
